H Newman’s has been serving off-grid homes and businesses in Kettering and nearby areas across Northamptonshire for almost 120 years – including Northampton, Peterborough, Market Harborough, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden, Higham Ferrers, Thrapston, Rothwell, Brigstock, Burton and Latimer. It caters for a wide range of domestic and commercial needs, from lawnmowers, Ironmongery and repair services to LPG cylinders for heating, cooking, leisure and forklift trucks (FLTs). Jim Newman at H Newman’s comments: “As a long-established local business with a loyal and growing customer base, our customers are our absolute priority. Ensuring they continue to receive a reliable gas supply, outstanding customer service and competitive prices – while also finding viable ways to grow the business for the future – is paramount. “These things were all front of mind when we entered in to this deal with Flogas; a nationally recognised, experienced and respected company. We’re very excited to be a part of the Flogas business, and look forward to working closely with the team, with the best interests of our customers at heart on both sides. Working with Flogas also means we will now be able to expand our reach further afield – servicing even more domestic and commercial customers across Northamptonshire, Leicestershire & Rutland” H Newman’s is the latest regional supplier to be acquired by Flogas as part of a strategic expansion drive. Other recent acquisitions include Cambridge-based CAMGAS and Sunderland-based City Hotline Gas, which joined the Flogas family in August 2017 and December 2017 respectively. Lee Gannon, managing director at Flogas, adds: “We couldn’t be happier to be welcoming H Newman’s to the Flogas family. It’s a busy and exciting time for Flogas Britain as we continue to expand and improve our offering both regionally and nationally. Acquiring reputable, committed and experienced bottled gas companies forms a key part of our long-term growth strategy – and H Newmans ethos of stellar service, quality products and affordable prices fits seamlessly with our own.” Part of FTSE-listed DCC Energy, the leading oil and LPG sales and distribution business in Europe, Flogas is one of the UK’s top LPG, LNG (liquefied natural gas) and mains gas providers. It has more than 30 years’ experience providing reliable off-grid energy to homes and businesses across the country – and with more UK depots than any other supplier, offers fast, free delivery too.
