We've published our 2025 Sustainability Report and want to share what it means for our customers. For over 40 years, Flogas has reliably delivered LPG to homes and businesses across Britain. As we look ahead, we’re taking practical action to build on our commitment to doing energy, right by you.
Listening to what matters most
In 2025, we ran our largest customer survey to date, hearing from more than 5,000 customers across the UK. The results show strong intent to act: 80% want to reduce their carbon emissions, yet only 21% currently use renewables at home. This highlights a clear ‘intent-to-action’ gap. For those not considering renewables, the biggest barriers are cost (29%) and being satisfied with their current energy source (33%), alongside uncertainty about benefits (9%) and practical constraints such as switching inconvenience (7%) or lack of control(e.g., renting) (6%). We need to work on educating & highlighting not just the benefits of renewable energy, but also combating some misconceptions around the price, maintenance and performance against alternatives
Customers told us they value reliability, practical solutions, and trusted advice. This feedback directly informs how we develop our services and how we support customers through the energy transition.
Reducing our delivery emissions
We’re reducing emissions across our operations to ensure every litre of LPG delivered has a lower environmental impact. We’ve reduced our carbon intensity by 28% since 2019 by switching over 900,000 litres of diesel to HVO (a renewable fuel), optimising our routes, continually modernising our fleet, and training our drivers differently.
Our delivery fleet is becoming cleaner through the switch to HVO, a renewable fuel that has already replaced more than 900,000 litres of diesel. Alongside this, we’re optimising delivery routes using smarter planning systems and continuing to train our drivers to operate more efficiently, helping to cut emissions while maintaining the reliable service customers expect.
Supporting the switch from higher-carbon fuels
Customers who have switched from oil or coal to LPG are already making a meaningful difference. Since 2022, our customers who’ve made the switch are now collectively saving over 43,500 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. That’s the equivalent of taking thousands of cars off the roads each year.
Our role is to make that transition as straightforward as possible, providing expert guidance and dependable service at every step.
Introducing BioLPG
BioLPG is a renewable alternative to conventional LPG that works with existing heating systems, boilers, and tanks, without the need for costly upgrades. It offers customers a practical next step on their decarbonisation journey, avoiding the disruption and expense of a full system replacement.
We recognise that the transition to lower-carbon energy isn’t easy for everyone, particularly in rural and off-grid locations. That’s why we’re focused on delivering affordable, realistic solutions that work for real homes and real businesses.
Safety at the heart of everything we do
Safety remains our highest priority. This year, we achieved our lowest injury rate in five years and continued to improve our road safety performance.
We’ve invested in upgraded depot equipment, enhanced emergency response systems, and ongoing training for all teams. Whether delivering LPG or maintaining customer installations, safety underpins every aspect of our operation.
Moving forward
The journey to net zero isn't straightforward, especially for off-grid homes and businesses, but we're investing in cleaner fuels, smarter delivery systems, and better support for customers who want to reduce their environmental impact.
We've been part of communities across Britain for more than 40 years, and we plan to be here for many more, because doing energy right by you means being there for the long haul with expertise and solutions you can trust.
